Storage Belfast FAQs
What is the minimum storage period at National Storage Belfast?
The minimum storage period is one month. Please speak to the onsite manager if you need to book for a shorter time.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Not if you book in person, though you’re welcome to do so if you would like to. Booking your storage unit online will require a deposit, and this will count towards your first month’s rent.
How can I move my things into the storage unit?
We can provide a driver and van to assist you on move-in day. National Storage Belfast also has driveway access, so you can get your vehicle nice and close to your unit for an easier transfer of items.
How much notice do I need to give when moving out?
Please give us at least seven (7) days’ notice when you decide to move out of your storage unit.
What can I put in my Belfast self-storage unit?
Just about anything! Our Christchurch customers often store the following items in their self-storage units:
- Books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs
What can’t I put in my self-storage unit?
We accept most items, but there are some key exceptions. These items are prohibited in our storage centres:
- Perishable items (e.g. animal food, fresh food, and contained/tinned food)
- Toxic or combustible items (e.g. gasoline/petrol, paint, and solvents)
- Illegal items and items that have been obtained illegally
- Living things (e.g. plants and pets)
